Watch: New Ice Age 4 Teaser Short 'Scrat's Continental Crack-Up'

Damn, can you believe it, we're already to the fourth Ice Age? I haven't been keeping up with the series even though I love the first one, but yes indeed, hitting theaters in summer 2012 is Ice Age: Continental Drift, with those same pack of prehistoric creatures back again. As always, Fox loves to tease each one with one of their animated shorts starring the squirrel Scrat. Fox just released a brand new one on Apple titled Scrat's Continental Crack-Up that you gotta see. I know Peter from /Film calls these the Looney Tunes of today and they're very fun, even on the fourth go around… or is it the sixth? How many times have we seen Scrat?

Here's a synopsis for Ice Age: Continental Drift, co-directed by Steve Martino and Mike Thurmeier at Blue Sky Studios: One of filmdom's most beloved trios - Ice Age's Manny, Diego, and Sid - embark upon their greatest adventure after cataclysm sets an entire continent adrift. Separated from the rest of the herd, they use an iceberg as a makeshift ship, which launches them on an epic seafaring quest. Manny and the gang are challenged like never before to become heroes and do the impossible, as they encounter exotic sea creatures, explore a brave new world, and battle ruthless pirates. And Scrat's reunion with his cursed nut catapults him to places no prehistoric squirrel has gone before. It arrives in theaters on July 13th, 2012.

This was shown before Gulliver's travels in the UK. I thought it was just a little short. I hope this story is true and there really is a 4th Ice age movie.

i love ice age, it's much better than anything dreamworks can pump out, can't wait for the fourth ice age and a whole lot more of scrat

I liked it, surprisingly! When I saw the '4' at the end, I was like, "Oh geez, are we going to have a Shrek situation?" but I thought this short was really smart. And I did like the last three, even though I don't remember the second one... 😛
