Watch: New TV Spots for Marvel's 'Captain America: The First Avenger'

Happy Fourth of July! I know a few people out there who think that Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger should be in theaters today, just because it's so perfectly timed with this patriotic holiday. But of course, we still have a few more weeks left. However, Marvel's not afraid of already giving away big spoilers, as their newest set of TV spots (that I have actually seen while watching TV) include footage that links this to The Avengers - I'll say no more. I still think Captain America looks quite awesome, I have high hopes for it, even if I'm not watching it on July 4th. You can check out both of the latest Cap TV spots below.

Watch the more spoilerish TV spot for Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger:
These are obviously not the first TV spots for Captain America we've seen, as our first glimpse was during the Super Bowl and we featured two others back on June 1st. You can also watch the final theatrical trailer.
Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger is directed by Joe Johnston, who previously directed Honey I Shrunk the Kids, The Rocketeer, Jumanji, October Sky, Jurassic Park III, Hidalgo and The Wolf Man. The screenplay was written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (writers of Life & Death of Peter Sellers, You Kill Me and all three Chronicles of Narnia movies, from Lion, Witch, Wardrobe to Dawn Treader) and also Joss Whedon. Paramount is bringing Captain America to theaters starting on July 22nd this summer.

Eh, it's KIND of spoilerish for those who don't know the comics. It's common knowledge at this point that Cap was frozen and the Avengers find him later--that goes back to the 60's!

we all know what happens, the interesting thing is how the will put it on screen, you don't have to be a fan of the comic to know that Red Skull will loose, but seeing footage like that before seeing a movie i's just... wrong

Looks like another case of miscasting like Ryan Reynolds for Green Lantern. Sad. Why would they get the Human Torch from the horrid Fox film, Fantastic Four?

Maybe because he was the best guy for the job? And how would you know that it's a "horrible case of miscasting" if you have not seen the film yet? Just sayin'....

The "I'm just a kid from brooklyn"-line is too cheesy to put in a trailer IMO. Yuck.

I completely agree with you; I think it would have been a sweet Fourth of July movie. But I guess they didn't want to compete with Transformers DOTM. And since both movies are from Paramount I'm pretty sure they are trying to make the most money from both pictures by releasing them weeks apart.

Can this movie just come out already so I can not see it in theatres and not have to hear/see anymore about it on here. (and not coming to this site is not an option)

No more trailers til I see the movie. Hate it when they spoil everything. Alex, do you feel spoilerific trailers/spots like these(generally speaking - not focused on CaptAmer) ruin the fun/bother you and should not be released, or do you just not necessarily care how much they reveal?
