Watch: 'No Strings Attached' and 'Friends with Benefits' Are the Same

It's pretty much a no brainer here, but after seeing No Strings Attached hit theaters back in January, it came as a bit of a surprise that a movie with pretty much exactly the same premise, but a bit of a raunchier edge, was coming in the form of Friends with Benefits. I've actually heard some audience members say out loud while watching the trailer for the latter film, "How is this different from No Strings Attached?" Personally, I think help from Easy A director Will Gluck makes Friends with Benefits more appealing. However, a new trailer mash-up makes it hard to argue that these two films aren't exactly the same. Enjoy!

We'll find out just how similar these two are once Friends with Benefits hits theaters on July 22nd as counter-programming to the much anticipated comic book flick Captain America: The First Avenger. Having seen No Strings Attached, I can already say that the trailer for Friends with Benefits alone looks funnier and raunchier than its predecessor. Plus, the presence of Patricia Clarkson as a sexually charged, hip mother to Mila Kunis seems like a good move, especially after she lit up the screen with Stanley Tucci in Easy A. Even Justin Timberlake has been hitting all the right comedy chords. Still, it's disappointing that again we have two films with nearly the same plot hitting theaters the same year. That's Hollywood for ya!

although this is super funny having seen both movies i have to say Friends with benefits is a super funny movie that mocks being a romantic comedy while No strings Attached is one of the worst movies this year and is the kind of movie its mocking. everyone should go see Friends with Benefits

This is hilarious, the moment my fiance and I saw the trailer for the J.T. film before Bridesmaids, we both looked at each other and said the same thing. Aren't they the same? lolol!

Is this a case of The Black Swan? Two actresses competing in the same role, to see who's the best. I think Mila and Natalie are taking their roles a bit too far.LOLs.

Duh...but how is this different than any other time two similar movies came out? Given, I used the would similar and these are not quite like Knight and Day. Of wait, see what I did there? Another movie Kutcher copied with Killers. Still...it happens...a lot or are ya'll really that young?

This is full of coincidences, I mean, both movies stars a That 70's show character, but not a random one, they use actor who were a couple in the series, besides each movie has a Black Swan girl
