Elite Squad: The Enemy Within Trailer

His true enemies lie within. An official US trailer has debuted for the Brazilian action film Elite Squad: The Enemy Within, the sequel to the 2007 film Elite Squad. This action-thriller has been receiving rave reviews all over and is indeed the highest grossing film in Brazil, which is pretty damn cool. The action in this looks insane and I've heard nothing but praise from everyone who has seen it at places like Fantastic Fest, Sundance and all over. The Enemy Within is directed by Jose Padilha, who's now setup in Hollywood working on the RoboCop remake. It's a kick ass trailer that will totally leave you excited to see this. Enjoy!

The favelas around Rio de Janeiro are some of the most dangerous places in the world… and it's Captain Nascimento's job to take down gangs that run them. Although he may be violent, he's very good at his job.

Elite Squad: The Enemy Within is written & directed by Brazilian filmmaker José Padilha, of the first Elite Squad and docs Bus 174, Garapa and Secrets of the Tribe previously. The screenplay was co-written by Padilha & Bráulio Mantovani, from a story by Padilha, Mantovani & Rodrigo Pimentel. This premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and has played at numerous film fests all over the world. Variance Films and Flatiron Film Company are bringing Enemy Within to limited theaters starting on November 11th. You in?

Rio De Janeiro's advertising campaign for the 2016 Olympics leaves much to be desired.

All jokes aside, this looks great, and Bus 174 is one of the best and most terrifying documentaries ever produced.

Looks healthy! Brazil is so corrupted as a country, possibly worse than the Italians. It's good it doesn't take the 'poor criminals are evil' route.

Even in the first movie, they talk alot about the "System"(the corruption Mafia among the high ranking officers of the police), in the second they move higher to the political level...
