The Way Official Trailer

"You don't choose a life, Dad, you live one." An official trailer for the latest feature from filmmaker Emilio Estevez called The Way has arrived online in high def thanks to Apple. This indie drama stars Martin Sheen, and his son Emilio Estevez, and follows Sheen as he travels to the El Camino de Santiago path in Spain. Their cast includes Deborah Kara Unger, James Nesbitt and Yorick van Wageningen. This looks surprisingly very good, not only heartfelt but amusing and entertaining, I didn't know what to expect, but I'm definitely curious. Nesbitt looks great, too. This is worth watching, even if you've never heard of it!

An American father travels to France to recover the body of his estranged son who died while traveling on the "El Camino de Santiago" from France to Santiago de Compostela (Spain). The Way is both written & directed by actor-filmmaker Emilio Estevez, eldest son of Martin Sheen, who directed Bobby, Wisdom, Men at Work and The War at Home. This is a collaboration between Martin and his son Emilio, to honor the Camino de Santiago and promote pilgrimage. Estevez calls the film, "pro people, pro life, not anti-anything." This premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year and is being released by ARC Entertainment in the US. The Way arrives in limited theaters starting October 7th this fall. I wish Emilio Estevez would do more acting and leading roles. He should have joined the A-list years ago.

What nobody mentions is that Martin Sheen´s family comes from near Santiago de Compostela, thats the reason they filmed the story. The Estevez family comes from the celtic region of Galicia in northen Spain. A territory ruled by the celts for centuries. With a landscape similar to Ireland.  GaliciaGaelic Celtica Rules!!
