Watch: Paul Rudd and Jason Segel Finally Hanging Out with Rush

I Love You Man

In the '09 comedy I Love You, Man some of the greatest moments came from Peter Klaven (Paul Rudd) and Sydney Fife (Jason Segel) and their obsession with the legendary Canadian rock band Rush. Whether they were rocking out in the man cave or licking each other's basses at a secret underground concert, it was clear that these two were die-hard Rush fans. Well now the two characters get to live the dream of any Rush fan in a new video from Funny or Die that has Rudd & Segel reprising their roles from that same comedy as the two characters find themselves backstage in a bit of an awkward meeting with the whole band. Enjoy.

This is easily one of the most hilarious videos to come out of Funny or Die in awhile - bravo. The scene itself is reminiscent of Wayne and Garth meeting Alice Cooper in the first Wayne's World movie and that's one of my favorite comedies of all-time. Seeing Rudd and Segel in their "show beards" definitely reminds me how much I liked I Love You, Man. As a matter of fact, it even makes me want some sort of road trip sequel to come together. Maybe one day they'll make it? We'll see. What do you think?

It works perfectly fine, the issue is with your own browser/computer. Make sure your version of Adobe Flash is upgraded top the latest version.

Alex Billington on Feb 1, 2011

thanks for the response alex -i'm sure it does work and my flash is fully updated - it just doesn't play for me(maybe it hates me? LOL). the exact same vid plays fine for me on funnyordie . and any other video on any site ( including this one) works fine. it's a mystery to me - but not one i'll waste much time on!

They grew their show beards! Paul Rudd looks so happy when he says "Tom Soyyyy". xD The chemistry between Rudd and Segal is amazing, one can tell that they are friends in real life, too. I hope there will be a bunch of movies with these two in the future.
