Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close Trailer

"If things were easy to find… they wouldn't be worth finding." Warner Bros has debuted the second official trailer via Apple for Stephen Daldry's late season arrival Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, the adaptation of Jonathan Safran Foer's novel starring Tom Hanks and Thomas Horn as father/son. We've seen one U2-filled trailer for this so far, but this one has less U2 and more emotion, if you've got a heart you'll be choked up by the end, that's for sure. Max von Sydow and his Oscar-worthy silent hands-only performance are given a bit more time, so be on the lookout for that. "This is truly the most amazing thing."

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is adapted from Jonathan Safran Foer's 2005 novel of the same name. A 9-year-old amateur inventor, jewelry designer, astrophysicist, tambourine player and pacifist searches New York for the lock that matches a mysterious key left by his father when he was killed in the September 11 attacks. In addition to Hanks & Horn, this also stars John Goodman, James Gandolfini, Zoe Caldwell, Max von Sydow, Viola Davis and Jeffrey Wright. It's directed by Stephen Dalrdy (Billy Elliot, The Hours, The Reader) from a script by Eric Roth (The Insider, Ali, Munich, The Good Shepherd, Benjamin Button). WB is releasing Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close on December 25th limited, wide January 20, 2012.

I'm not sold on the child actor, but otherwise this looks really good.

First trailer was wishy washy but if the film is anything like the second one, than its a must see! I'll give it a go for sure.

ugh, I just spent forever trying to recognize/remember what music was playing from 0:23 - for the record, it's "Mescaline" by Abel Korzeniowski from the soundtrack of A Single Man. Anway: Really excited for this. I started reading the book over the summer, too, but never got a chance to finish.

K...I put what you said through google translate and this is what it said "complete ignored that happens when Sandra Bullock is one of the most came out in the trailer and one of the safest support candidates they were thinking ... eh?"  still no

Thomas Horn comes off like he's reading his lines or has some form of autism but otherwise this could be Hanks somewhat apologizing for Larry Crowne. Anyhow speaking of Tom, what gives? I mean the guy was the best actor of his generation and now that he's gotten older he's doing weak projects besides the always great Toys Story series. He needs a power house project like now.

9/11 movies are tasteless. Stop making them.

It was the summer before my 9th grade year that i found the book "extremely loud and incredibly close" at my public library. It was so beautiful and sad. After that I never found a book i liked more and it became my favorite. I really hope this film delivers the emotion the book did. seriously...
