Universal has debuted one more trailer via MSN for Paul Feig's new comedy Bridesmaids, starring a wild line-up of women: Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Ellie Kemper, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi Mclendon-Covey and Kali Hawk. The guys include Matt Lucas, Chris O'Dowd and even Jon Hamm. The film recently premiered as a "work-in-progress" cut at the SXSW Film Festival a few days ago, where despite not being finished, Peter Sciretta from /Film raved: "Confident, a mix of laugh-out-loud funny, smart, raunchy, and heartbreaking. Bridesmaides [sic] is a homerun." Now that's some praise! Check out the trailer below.
Watch the second official trailer (first one here) for Paul Feig's Bridesmaids:
Bridesmaids is directed by Paul Feig, of feature films I Am David and Unaccompanied Minors, but he has a lot of TV directing work on shows like "Arrested Development", "The Office" and "Nurse Jackie". The story follows Annie (Kristen Wiig), a maid of honor whose life unravels as she leads her best friend, Lillian (Maya Rudolph), and a group of colorful bridesmaids on a wild ride down the road to matrimony. Can Annie keep all of her personal issues at bay while she tries to plan the perfect wedding? Universal is bringing the Judd Apatow-produced Bridesmaids to theaters everywhere starting on May 13th in the summer. Worth seeing?

I'll see it for Chris O'Dowd. He was great in The Boat The Rocked. Plus Wiig is funny.

Oh noes! too many movies about women having fun! we're only allowed sex and the citay type stuff, where we talk about shoes and clothes and relationships! ps: i dont think this is bad writing just because its "female" hangover, could be better of course - but only because script is a tad too safe. Ironically because it's 'for the ladies', they didnt want to go all out, reinforcing the stereotype that women arent funny. Men can think women arent funny all they want, ive met more funny women than funny men. and most men like to think themsevles funny, of course.

I have to agree about Kristen Wiig, guys. She's one of the few reasons left to watch SNL. Her and Samberg's Digital Shorts. This trailer actually made me chuckle a few times. What a faceplant!

Looks OK. It doesn't really appeal to me though. Woman aren't that funny.
