Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows Trailer

"Your clock is ticking." This is starting to look good, very good. Warner Bros just unveiled the second official trailer on Apple for Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, the sequel to his 2009 reinvention of Holmes. Starring Robert Downey Jr. once again as Holmes and Jude Law as Dr. Watson, he undertakes "the single most important case of my career" as they take on the legendary Moriarty. I have to say, this looks massive as hell, with huge castles, trains and more, and I just can't wait to see it. The cast includes Noomi Rapace, Stephen Fry, Kelly Reilly, Rachel McAdams and Jared Harris as Moriarty. Enjoy!

Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Dr. John Watson join forces to outwit and bring down their fiercest adversary, Professor Moriarty, in this sequel to Lionel Wigram's new take on Sherlock Holmes from 2009.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is again directed by British filmmaker Guy Ritchie, of Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Revolver, RocknRolla, and the first Sherlock Holmes. The screenplay was written by husband & wife writers Kieran & Michele Mulroney, who wrote and directed the indie film Paper Man. Warner Bros and Silver Pictures are bringing Sherlock Holmes 2 to theaters starting December 16th.

Why no Stephen Fry in the trailer? Is his role as Mycroft Holmes little more than a cameo?

Looks fun! Worth a trip tae the flicks to be sure.

Good to see Rachel McAdams makes an appearance, she was great in the first one. I was afraid she would go the route of so many love interests before her and simply go forgotten and unmentioned in the sequel.
