If you haven't taken an interest in the upcoming comedy 50/50 yet (latest trailer), you definitely need to. A video posted by Joseph Gordon-Levitt on his hitRECord YouTube might be the introduction and bit of convincing you need to actually care about the film, or further entertainment for those already anxious to see this. Joe sits down with Seth Rogen and Will Reiser, who's not only the real-life cancer survivor that inspired the film, but also the writer. The three discuss the origins of the film and how they were able to find comedy even in the hard times. With it, hitRECord is launching a new collaboration that you can submit to.
Here's the discussion video with Will Reiser, Joseph Gordon-Levitt & Seth Rogen via YouTube:
"I know that even in the darkest times of my life, there have been those unexpected moments, circumstances and stories that just make me laugh my ass off. I want to start a collaboration for those kinds of stories." You can submit your own stories to the contribution page on hitRECord here. Catch the latest 50/50 trailer here.
50/50, originally titled I'm With Cancer, is directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Jonathan Levine, of the cult classics All the Boys Love Mandy Lane and The Wackness previously. The screenplay was written by and is based on a story about Will Reiser, a TV producer/writer, cousin of comedian Paul Reiser. Summit Entertainment is bringing 50/50 to theaters starting September 30th this fall. Visit: 50-50TheMovie.com.

Caught a screening of this the other day and LOVED it. Just a fantastic job balancing comedy and drama surrounding such a touchy subject!
