Watch: Subtle New Red Band Spot for Steve McQueen's 'Shame'

"You wanna get out of here? I could take you somewhere…" In anticipation of its limited opening (theaters here) this weekend, Fox Searchlight has unveiled very subtle, but certainly seductive, new red band spot for Steve McQueen's Shame, starring Michael Fassbender as a sex addicted guy living in New York City. We've already featured numerous trailers for this, including one that only had Carey Mulligan singing, but obviously the red band nature of this plus the NC-17 rating the film has received (and is trying to defeat) will definitely attract more viewers. Listen carefully to the trailer and don't watch at work, you know better!

Shame is directed by Steve McQueen, who also wrote the script with Abi Morgan. The controversial and sexual drama stars Michael Fassbender as a 30-something living in New York City who can't control his sex life and sexual desire, and things get thrown out of whack when his "fragile" sister, played by Carey Mulligan, moves into his apartment. Fox Searchlight says, "Steve McQueen's courageous exploration of modern life's extremes is breathtaking. He has crafted an extraordinary film that probes some of the deepest and darkest issues ever portrayed on screen." Searchlight will open Shame in theaters on December 2nd.

Sex Addiction is just normal man behavior applied to celebrities. You don't sex that guy is a pervert (like every guy) when it is a celebrities, you say "the poor has sex addiction" way better PR!

Men that controlled by their penis are idiots. My friend was a bit like that guy, he literally tried to have sex with anything, but that was really just because he didn't have any control over his wang, not really an addiction. I'm sure he had a good time, but sometimes, he'd get drunk and say he wished he was back with the girl he used to cheat on. He kind of fell apart, it was pretty sad. I do know also that he has sex with 2 of his cousins. That's dark. But yeah, sex addicts...

Is it really a strong dark "addiction" when it comes to sex? Meh seems harmless when its with two consenting adults but Hey that's Me! Lol Michael Fassbender rocks in everything! Check out the leaked footage of PROMETHEUS with him on youtube! It's a blurry teaser trailer but it looks so badass! "THEY WENT LOOKING FOR EARTH'S BEGINNING, WHAT THEY FOUND COULD BE ITS END! JUNE 8th 2012 only in theaters!
