Terror Runs Deep. Relativity has debuted a trailer via Apple for David R. Ellis' Shark Night 3D, the crazy cheesy new horror movie which looks/plays exactly like Piranha 3D meets Friday the 13th meets Deep Blue Sea. The cast is obviously a big group of hotties: Sara Paxton, Christine Quinn, Chris Carmack, Chris Zylka, with Joel Moore. I don't know how the hell these sharks got so far upstream up a river, or how they're so smart, maybe there's no explanation, as obviously this is about watching all these kids get gnawed up by various-sized sharks. They barely even show them anyway! This looks about as good as Piranha, watch out.

A sexy summer weekend turns into a blood-soaked nightmare for a group of college students trapped on an island surrounded by underwater predators in Shark Night 3D, a terrifying thrill ride from director David R. Ellis (Cellular, The Final Destination, Snakes on a Plane). The script was written by Jesse Studenberg & Will Hayes and will be a "scary 3D ride." Ellis shot this with actual 3D digital cameras with a cast that includes Joel David Moore (Avatar), Sinqua Walls ("Friday Night Lights") and Alyssa Diaz ("As the World Turns"). Relativity Media has Shark Night 3D scheduled for release September 2nd this fall. Look okay?

Wait...so this isn't even some silly "Omg, the fishies were supposed to be extinct but we partied too hard during Spring Break and totally busted open the bottom of the ocean and now they're released, oh gawd!" thing? Some dude has a bunch of sharks at his disposal that he drops into the lake to kill college kids?! LOL! Someone is really pissed off about their time-share vacation home.

Stuff like this is just about the fun of going with some friends to laugh and make fun of the stupid things these kids do and say, and how they get killed. Its not about how good the movie is, thats why Piranha 3D is so much fun to watch

Alex Pirhana was amazing fun! You totally missed the point in the film - it was a very very good throw back to 80's porn/horror/comedy.

ok first off i knew this wasnt gonna be good... the only good shark film was JAWS second, why is always the black guy that dies first? and is it just me is does it seem like hollywood now only wants to make dumb ass movie just so they can show booty and boobs... dont get me wrong im like the next guy and enjoy it but i feel like producers are just focused on sex... pervs

This movie looks better than Piranha 3D. Agree with those above, this is just a fun exploitation gore fest, nothing more. If this has the effect that My Bloody Valentine 3D, or Piranha 3D carried than its one to see in theaters, in 3D, because thats what its meant for. Pure, adulterated fun.

The Piranha magic was wasted on me, I understood the point of the film, I just found it rather... obnoxious...and this seems to be pretty bland...we'll see.

Hey Scared, that's the kicker, the black guy is actually the KILLER, dressed up in a shark suit. It's kind of like Lake Placid meets Scooby Doo. Seriously, I have a crazy feeling that this movie is going to make a lot of money (at least relative to production costs).

serial killer putting sharks in the water in order to hunt down those he wants to kill okay yeah that is pretty awsome if you think about it. also there is such thing as fresh water sharks ive owned a couple and ive seen them on tv discovery channel lol pretty visious movie looks great cant wait
