11-11-11 Trailer

"And on this day, innocent blood will spill." With the release just over two weeks away, we now have what will likely be the final theatrical trailer (via Yahoo) for the timely horror film 11-11-11 from Mother's Day director Darren Lynn Bousman. Much like the last trailer for the film, it looks like quite an embellished and exaggerated horror venture, almost bordering on the tongue-in-cheek nature of something like Drag Me to Hell. There's clearly a lot of doomsday talk and religious connotations coming from the central terror in the film as a strange gateway is opened that could spell disaster for Earth. See the new trailer below!

Here's the theatrical trailer for Darren Lynn Bousman's 11-11-11, in high def via Yahoo:

A horror-thriller set on 11:11 on the 11th day of the 11th month and concerning a entity from another world that enters the earthly realm through Heaven's 11th gate. 11-11-11 is both written and directed by American filmmaker Darren Lynn Bousman, of Saw II, III & IV, Repo! The Genetic Opera and Mother's Day, still due out later this year. Bousman and Epic Pictures Group only announced the project last August, but pulled it together and are currently shooting in Spain. Though we don't know if this has a distributor yet, as expected, it will be arriving in theaters on November 11th, 2011, as in 11-11-11 itself this year. Thoughts?

It's a semi-horror-comedy with a Buffy the Vampire feel then?

Sounds interesting but once November 11 rolls around, I'll be locking myself in my room with Skyrim for 3 months.

Ya'll saw something i didn't then. I see no comedy or tongue in cheek. I see a B horror movie like Da Vinci Code running around solving a mystery. More like how End of Days started or the new Omen.

I agree.. I didn't get a tongue in cheek vibe at all. Just a slushy mix of ideas, like you said. But I thought it was sort of The Number 23 meets The Omen meets 2012.

End Of Days and Da Vinci Code were pretty funny, just depends on how you look at it.
