"I saw it, no one believes me." I cannot wait to see this movie, it looks like the movie I've been waiting all my life to see (not exaggerating, I love science fiction stuff like this). Paramount has recently debuted two new 30-second TV spots for J.J. Abrams' summer sci-fi Super 8, one of them on SlashFilm, the other on Yahoo. They both start out with most of the same footage, but they both have some new footage we've never seen, including a spinning/floating car and a truck that explodes and lots of small objects come flying out. This is getting more and more intriguing. I don't know how anyone can't be excited for this after these spots.

Relationships are tested when a small town experiences extraordinarily fantastic "other-worldly" events.
The film stars Zach Mills, Elle Fanning, Kyle Chandler, Noah Emmerich, Ron Eldard and Amanda Michalka.
Super 8 (which is supposedly a tentative title, but that doesn't seem to be the case) is written & directed by visionary director J.J. Abrams, who started his career with "Lost" and "Alias" before first directing Mission: Impossible III then Star Trek last summer. This is being produced by Steven Spielberg at Amblin, Relativity and Bad Robot. According to early reports, this was inspired by Spielberg's sci-fi films of the 70's and 80's. Paramount will be bringing Super 8 to theaters everywhere, not in 3D, starting on June 10th this summer.

Love the classic Spielburg feel with the kids and aliens/monsters. JJ Abrams delivers and with this homage I'm looking forward to an enjoyable movie experience.

Cloverfield: Origins! *flails* In all honesty, I would love if this and Cloverfield were connected. Like, this is when they first stumble upon the monster, it breaks free and maybe goes into hiding, just to come back 30 years later and smack Lady Liberty across the face. 😉
