"Now that is a world class smuggler, man!" A brand new UK trailer for Universal's remake of Reykjavik-Rotterdam retitled Contraband has arrived thanks to MSN UK, and it's worth seeing. This is the first time I've ever heard anyone use a track from Daft Punk's Tron Legacy score as trailer music, but I guess it works. Contraband stars Mark Wahlberg as a smuggler who has to do one more job to save his family, but things go awry and all hell breaks loose. The official US trailer hit a few months back. It's also great to see Lukas Haas in this trailer briefly, along with Kate Beckinsale, Ben Foster and Giovanni Ribisi. Take a look!
Watch the newest UK trailer for Baltasar Kormákur's Contraband, originally from MSN UK:
Chris Farraday long ago abandoned his life of crime, but after his brother-in-law, Andy, botches a deal for his ruthless boss, he's forced back into doing what he does best — running contraband — to settle the debt.
Contraband is directed by Icelandic filmmaker Baltasar Kormákur, an actor and director of films including 101 Reykjavík, The Sea, A Little Trip to Heaven, Jay City, Brúðguminn and Inhale previously. This is a remake of the 2008 film Reykjavik-Rotterdam, which Baltasar Kormákur also appeared in, featuring a new screenplay adaptation by Aaron Guzikowski (Prisoners). Working Title & Universal will release Contraband in theaters everywhere starting on January 13th, 2012, early next year. Anyone interested in seeing this?

Whaaaat? Do they just pass the music around? I suppose the soundtrack guys get royalties regardless?

Yea, I hate waiting 30 seconds to watch something for free that I will enjoy. Seriously man, how do you think Alex makes any money? Do you think this site would exist at all if it wasn't for his loyal sponsors?

Walhberg is played out. Zero interest in any of his work.

Just can't buy Marky Mark s a tough guy. I keep waiting for him to bust a half-step every time he moves.

I just read the English version script - pretty strong, but damn, that old "bag-of-salt slowly melts and up floats the air bag with the goodies" is tired, tired, tired...
