Watch: Wild New Trailer for Todd Phillips' Teen Party 'Project X' Movie

Holy crap! You've got to see this. Warner Bros has finally unveiled the first (teaser) trailer via Apple for the "mysterious" Project X, a high school party movie that gets about as crazy as it possibly can. It follows three high school kids throwing a big party, played by Thomas Mann, Jonathan Daniel Brown and Oliver Cooper, but other than that it's full of unknowns, directed by an unknown, the only other big name is Todd Phillips (director of The Hangover, Due Date) as the producer of the whole thing. This does indeed look quite crazy, like the ultimate MTV party movie that MTV couldn't ever make. "Is this big enough to be cool?"

Three high school seniors throw a birthday party to make a name for themselves. As the night progresses, things begin to spiral insanely out of control as word of the party spreads. Website: projectxthemovie.com
Project X is directed by first-time filmmaker Nima Nourizadeh, from a screenplay by Matt Drake (Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman) and Michael Bacall (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and 21 Jump Street). This was produced by Todd Phillips, director of comedy greats like Road Trip, Old School, The Hangover and Due Date. Warner Bros is bringing Project X to theaters starting March 2nd, 2012 early next year. You in?

This looks incredibly original in the sense of how it was filmed and the context in which the characters are explaining the story. I think that this is a wicked looking flick and I am super stoked for it. I love when first time filmmakers go for a game changing look and feel.

Get off Alex's back dude. He's speaking to everyone when he writes his article, not just singling out your pathetic ass. Quoting him really doesn't help your case either. Trailer does like crazy and the film does seem original in the sense that its just about one massive party and not a film where a big party takes place somewhere in it.

Love A**H*LE* like you. easy to call me a pathetic Ass. Wasn't passing insults just saying that saying "Holy crap! You've got to see this." was a little dramatic and I did not like the trailer nor would I want to see the movie! AND to "FedupofHaters" I never said I could make a better movie. I love that I got a rise out of you two dusch bags.

It doesn't look that good to me. And honestly, we all went to high school, we all know the only way dorks get with chicks that hot is if they are in drama and become actors and writers and write themselves into movies where they pay hot actresses to hook up with them lmao.

Seriously stupid. Looks like the generic parties they have in many films but without the surround plot they're simply going to focus on stupid happenings at a party. Target audience...people that actual go to these parties. Fail...

I think this looks great honestly. I mean it is pretty over the top, but I think this kid actually looks like a great actor. I actually felt nervous for him in that last scene when his parents called.

Could be interesting, but they're not telling much about the plot. They're just selling it as from the guy who did these other party movies. That's just not enough for me to make me want to see it.

It's crazy how girls turn into lesbians when they have a camera in front of them. Ah the fun of being young. They had the 'Facebook Party' phenomenon in America too right? Where a kid said a party would happen on Faceballs and it gets overrun by people they don't know? I once urinated in someones toothpaste at a party in the 90's, the party was pretty lame and it made me chuckle that in the morning someone would be putting my pee on their teeth. It looks a bit like Weird Science meets those horrific MTV birthday parties meet Skins, which I'm okay about watching I suppose.

i spent 5 years getting my degree at ohio state........this "party" would just be considered another night around campus - i'm sure many other universities are the same way........pass.

Stop trying to look cool, because this is no ordinary party... Are you saying that every night in Ohio there is a guy with a flame thrower? Or that the cops are going everyday because of disturbs? come on dude. dont be ridiculous...

So I guess that the idea is to destroy everything around you and expect people to find it funny?

I'm not going to say for certain that this is what it is based on, but this whole movie looks almost exactly like the story from Australia a few years back about this kid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0IAUwtyquE He threw a huge party and it escalated into a riot with a lot of damage to his neighborhood.

The trailer for this definitely doesn't look like a comedy. it looks like a a HUGE teen party that goes horribly wrong. One of the first movies that came to mind was Thirteen, which wasn't very good but it showed audiences the crazier, darker side of teens, and let us witness them just going completely out of control. It looks insane. I'm hoping it will live up to what I'm expecting.

Um....I guess I'm too old...but i don't even see what I'm SUPPOSED to have the slightest interest in. I don't see any comedy in the previews....I'm not sure why this is so 'wild"...car in the pool??! O....K....hasn't that been done in countless teen movies since the 70's?? Aside from a bit of softcore teen porn, I'm not sure what the appeal is??

This is the type of movie that can relate to all people in rural areas and small towns where theres parties t least every week and huge house parties with cops showing up and all. Itll be a huge hit for these type of people!
