Watch: Zac Efron is Touchy Feely in First Trailer for 'The Lucky One'
"You should be kissed every day, every hour, every minute." It seems kind of strange that it's taken this long for Zac Efron to star in an adaptation of a Nicholas Sparks novel, but here we are with the first trailer for The Lucky One. When the plot synopsis for The Last Photograph from Zack Snyder came out, I knew the plot sounded vaguely familiar and this is why. The film from Scott Hicks (Snow Falling on the Cedars, Shine) follows a Marine who travels to North Carolina after serving in Iraq and searches for the unknown woman from a photo he found on the battlefield that he believes was his good luck charm. Watch below!

Scott Hicks (Snow Falling on the Cedars, Shine) directs this adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' novel The Lucky One written by Will Fetters (Remember Me). Zac Efron stars as a Marine who aims to connect with a small town girl (Taylor Schilling) after a photograph he finds of her in the battlefield in Iraq serves as his lucky charm through three tours in the war. While romance blossoms their relationship may not come so easily as her ex-husband exposes the photo which brought him to her and threatens to tear them apart destroying not only their love, but also their lives. Warner Bros. brings the film to theaters on April 20th, 2012. Good?

I think a lot of people just saved themselves the trouble from spending another $10 on a movie ticket. It feels like I just watched the entire movie.

I'm usually a pretty big fan of chick flicks but I'm getting burnt out on the formulaic Nicholas Sparks films. I saw the first couple in the theater, watched a few on video, and haven't bothered with the last few. This story looks interesting but the dialogue in the preview was velvetta cheesy.

I think sometimes we could all use a little cheesy romance in our lives. 🙂
