"How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?" We're bound to have some fun with this trailer. Apple has posted a trailer for Mitch Glazer's Passion Play, the half fantasy, half indie noir drama starring Megan Fox and Mickey Rourke. Its also got Bill Murray, Kelly Lynch, Jerry Sawyers and Rhys Ifans. As interested as you may be in this, let me point you towards many of the scathing reviews of the film from Toronto, like this one calling it "a 90 minute mess" with "downright stupid situations and terrible green screen work." And to be honest, this trailer really isn't that great anyway. Yea, it's definitely a big skip, sadly.

An angel under the thumb of a ruthless gangster is saved by a trumpet player (Rourke) down on his luck.
Passion Play is both written and directed by American producer/filmmaker Mitch Glazer, screenwriter of Scrooged, Off and Running, Great Expectations and The Recruit, making his feature directing debut. This premiered to very low reviews at the Toronto Film Festival last year, which is quite unfortunate. Image Entertainment will be opening Passion Play in limited theaters May 6th then straight to DVD on May 31st.

I saw it in Toronto - it's weird and sad and cool. I think too many people hate Megan Fox so they started slagging this beautiful film without even SEEING IT!? That's not fair! The whole cast's great in it and played out of their 'comfort zones'. Which is pretty brave. Everyone loved it at our screening and I will pay to see it again.

After Rourke's candid comments on this being terrible, I have to say if I didn't know any better I'd have though it had potential just by the fact that I dig Rourke and Murray.
