Tyrannosaur Trailer

"Nobody's safe with me." The other new worth watching trailer is for Paddy Considine's Tyrannosaur, yet another drama about violent human beings, but this one seems to have a bit more emotion to it than the Vincent Cassel one. This premiered at Sundance to mixed reviews (I heard good and bad) but this trailer via In Contention has made me actually want to see this. Tyrannosaur stars Peter Mullan as Joseph, Olivia Colman as Hannah, with Eddie Marsan as well. It's another story about a man with violent tendencies and the relationships he strikes up that make a difference. Give it a shot, even if you've never heard of this.

Watch the official UK trailer for Paddy Considine's Tyrannosaur, currently from YouTube:

The story of Joseph, a man plagued by violence and a rage that is driving him to self-destruction. As his life spirals into turmoil a chance of redemption appears in the form of Hannah, a Christian charity shop worker. But the relationship reveals that Hannah is hiding her own secret with devastating consequences.

Tyrannosaur is both written and directed by British actor/filmmaker Paddy Considine, who you'll recognize from Hot Fuzz, The Bourne Ultimatum or Submarine, making his feature directing debut. The film is an extension of Considine's BAFTA award winning short Dog Altogether. This premiered at Sundance is being released by Strand Releasing in the US, but no date has been set yet. Arrives in UK theaters on October 7th.

Good trailer for a good movie featuring two EXCELLENT performances. Mullan is great, and Colman gives the best female performance of the year behind Juliette Binoche in Certified Copy. If at least the two of them can score some recognition come awards season, I'll be thrilled.

Wow, that looks amazing and a film i will be seeing. Mr.mullan for me is the british Mr.Walken the guy has an amazing presence on screen and can be very scary that is un-till my brother and myself was in a coffee shop in Glasgow and heard this woman going off at some dude. That dude was Mr.mullan getting a right old ear bashing from his missus when wee looked around he had his head down looking like a smaked puppy, yer tough on camera but not when gettin a run down from yer missus.... was well funny :o)

Looks hilarious. I can't get enough of these upbeat British films. I imagine there will be scenes of happiness between all the misery in the trailer, that's where the Shane Meadows films that Considine was in shine.
