With a duo of heroes already set in the form of Bruce Willis as John McClane and Jai Courtney as his estranged son Jack, it's time for A Good Day to Die Hard to find some bad guys for them to take down. Variety has word that The Lives of Others star Sebastian Koch and up and coming Russian actress Yulia Snigir have been cast as a couple of villains in the franchise sequel coming in 2013. The story follows McClane trying to save his son somewhere in Russia where "nothing is what it seems." Of course his son is said to be "an apple that has not fallen far from the tree" and maybe "more of a hardass than his father."
Koch will play a character named Komorov while Snigir is playing a woman named Irina. Their involvement in the plot, which is bare bones to begin with, is not yet known. But they at least sounds like your average Russian villains, and if you run a quick image search for Snigir, she'll likely be some nice eye candy for all the male viewers out there. It remains to be seen whether director John Moore will be the director to steer this franchise into quality territory again, which would include a hopeful R-rating unlike the last installment Live Free or Die Hard. In addition, it would be nice if there was a big name to face-off against McClane this time around, but it's not clear if these two Russian villains are the lead antagonists or not. Stay tuned.

Russians huh? Well, I have a bad feeling, but I'll wait and see what develops.

Sweet! Komorov is totally Hans Gruber's father's brother's cousin's nephew's former roommate, so this sequel ties in PERFECTLY....cant wait!!

Well, if this is an attempt to pass off the franchise to McClane's son, please don't "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" it! (My new term for F-ing up the passing off of a franchise)

I love this franchise!!! I can't wait for the new one and I agree it should be R rated.
