Another Magical Trailer for Ang Lee's 'Life of Pi' with More Coldplay
Another wonderful trailer for Ang Lee's Life of Pi has surfaced, a Vietnamese version of the trailer, with some extra footage. Life of Pi is one of the few movies left this year that I might totally fall in love with, and could end up winning quite a few Oscars. This trailer spends time introducing us to Pi Patel (played by Suraj Sharma), and his life before, where he grew up at a zoo in India before moving with his family to Canada. It's on that voyage, with all of their animals, that their ship sank and he became stranded on a life boat with a tiger for over 200 days. Seeing all this footage still gives me chills, this looks magical. Can't wait!
Life of Pi is the story of an Indian boy named Pi, a zookeeper's son who finds himself in the company of a hyena, zebra, orangutan, and a Bengal tiger after a shipwreck sets them adrift in the Pacific. Life of Pi, based on Yann Martel's novel, is being directed in 3D by Oscar winning Taiwanese filmmaker Ang Lee, of Taking Woodstock, Lust Caution, Brokeback Mountain, Hulk and Crouching Tiger previously. The cast includes Irrfan Khan, Adil Hussain and Tabu, in addition to the animals and Pi, as it also looks like there's quite a bit going on in this. Fox has Life of Pi scheduled for a wide 3D release November 21st this year. You in?

Amazing. Honestly, one of the best books in recent history. This movie captures it wonderfully.

The video is no longer available 🙁 It says the boy is trapped on the boat for 200 days with a tiger...but then at the bottom of the video it says he's accompanied by a tiger, hyena, zebra, and an orangutan after the shipwreck. So is it both or just the tiger?

Both. Or all.

It's a bit of both.

Amazing trailer, and the use of Coldplay gave me chills! Was not looking forward to this even though I read the book, but now I might take a look into it!
