After begging for years to land a role in a Wes Anderson movie, Jude Law finally got his wish in Grand Pudapest Hotel and he confirmed as much earlier this month. Now we have confirmation of a frequent Anderson collaborator joining the film as Vulture (via The Film Stage) interviewed Bill Murray for Hyde Park on Hudson and he revealed that he was "about to go shoot a movie with Wes Anderson in Germany." That means we officially have an Ed Wood reunion with Johnny Depp also confirmed for the role. But there's also one more name confirmed from the list of rumored talent that surfaced back in July. Read on!
The Film Stage also got a hold of an excerpt from the latest issue of the UK Magazine The Gentle Woman, and Angela Lansbury, one of the names from July, said, “I’m playing a woman of mystery, it’s a minuscule role. I’m on the screen probably for less than 5 minutes.” That's about as extensive as our details on the film get. Now we just have to wait and see if Jeff Goldblum, Willem Dafoe, Edward Norton, Owen Wilson and Adrien Brody decide to reunite with Wes Anderson or not. Either way, this is already a stellar cast, and Anderson's name only makes it more of a must-see film. Production begins later this year so hopefully we'll see the film arrive in late 2013. Stay tuned!
