'Book of Mormon' Actor Josh Gad to Script 'Twins' Sequel' Triplets
by Ethan Anderton
November 15, 2012
Back in March, a surprising report surfaced saying that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito would reunite for a sequel to Twins, and they would be bringing Eddie Murphy with them for the project unsurprisingly called Triplets. It's a real project that Schwarzenegger himself even told us about when visiting the set for The Last Stand in August of 2011. Now the comedy sequel is inching closer to being a reality as Deadline reports Book of Mormon and Love and Other Drugs star Josh Gad and camera operator Ryan Dixon will team up to script a treatment for the sequel at Montecito Picture Company and Universal.
Gad has enjoyed quite an uptick in his career as of late. His big break came in 2007 with 21, and since then he's appeared on TV series like "Modern Family" and "New Girl" and taken supporting roles in upcoming films like Thanks for Sharing with Mark Ruffalo, The Internship with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson and the animated film Me and My Shadow. We'll next see him on the NBC comedy "1600 Penn" in January which features Independence Day star Bill Pullman playing the President of the United States of America again. Meanwhile, Dixon is just starting his writing career after being a camera operator for years.

Wow. What a horrible idea. Loved Twins, but this is just unnecessary.

This could have worked wonders like 20 years ago, now it's irrelevant.

My thoughts exactly.

But Eddie Murphy isn't funny, he hasn't been funny for years, his brother's humour is way better.

Yep. They chose the wrong Murphy.

Holy shit on an altar..... This will either be incredible or incredibly shitty. No way it'll be in the middle, either one or the other. When a camera operator turns to script, things can get ugly....

Chris Tucker would've been a better choice really..... Or a chinese actor. Or maybe Mel Gibson while they're at it.....
