Channing Tatum Mentors Alex Pettyfer in the New 'Magic Mike' Trailer
While plenty of people have obviously been excited about The Avengers assembling on the big screen, there's an all-male assembly that will have more of the women excited in a whole different way. The first trailer for Magic Mike, the story about the life of a male stripper inspired by the real-life job Channing Tatum once had before making it big in Hollywood, was definitely a tease, and this one is no different. However, this time we see Tatum's titular character taking Alex Pettyfer under his wing. Honestly, shirtless dudes aren't my cup of tea, but I'd be lying if I said the film didn't look interesting. Watch below!
Here's the new UK trailer for Steven Soderbergh's Magic Mike, originally from YouTube:
A young upstart male stripper (Alex Pettyfer) is taken under the wing of his more experienced colleagues.
Magic Mike is directed by Steven Soderbergh (Ocean's Eleven, Contagion, Out of Sight) and written by Reid Carolin. Channimg Tatum plays the titular male stripper in a story that draws from the actor's real-life experiences when he became an exotic male dancer at age 19. McConaughey plays a stripper named Dallas. Alex Pettyfer plays young up-and-coming dancer "The Kid" who becomes Magic Mike's protege and learns how to hustle on and off the stage. Warner Bros is bringing this crazy fun Magic Mike movie to theaters starting June 29th this summer, for a double dose of Tatum with G.I. Joe: Retaliation that same weekend.

Do you think I'll get funny looks if I go see a film about male stripping on opening night? Fuck it, this looks pretty good.

This is a UK trailer, and Lionsgate might be handling some of the international distribution instead of Warner Bros.

"Anchorman" isn't a great movie because people love the NEWS, it's a great movie because it has great talent and is hilariously written. This isn't that level of comedy necessarily, but just because it's about male stripping doesn't mean you have to be INTO male stripping to like it. I think it looks good.

I don't know why, but Alex Pettyfer's face always pisses me off. His previous roles as a total douchebag aren't helping. I can't stand him and just wanna double fist punch him in the dick.

Fuck suicidaloptimist I feel like your just still living at home with your momma suckin on her tits you jealous Fuck

That's totally it, you found me out. I am dying of penis envy over here, and my dislike for him has nothing to do with simply personal preference, because we all know something like that doesn't really exist. One does not simply have an opinion for other reasons than jealousy! So yeah, I am sitting in the basement of my own house right now, stroking my fat baby belly and hating on Alex Pettyfer because I wanna be him soooo bad!
