Check Out Eight Stylish New Character Banners for 'Gangster Squad'
Not too long ago, a batch of character posters for Gangster Squad showed up online, but they still had the old release date on them. Now some slightly different character banners have showed up giving the spotlight to Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Anthony Mackie, Giovanni Ribisi, Robert Patrick and Michael Peña, but I'm surprised Nick Nolte didn't get his own character poster. It'll be interesting to see if audiences are still interested in the film after the delay from this past September to January. I'm betting it'll win the weekend, but it would've been nice to see how it fared in awards season.
Here are the new character banners for Ruben Fleischer's Gangster Squad from Facebook:
The LAPD fights to keep the East Coast Mafia, run by Mickey Cohen, out of Los Angeles in the 1940s and 50s. Gangster Squad is being directed by Ruben Fleischer (of Zombieland, 30 Minutes or Less) from a screenplay written by Will Beall ("Castle"), based on Paul Lieberman's book. The cast includes Sean Penn as mobster Mickey Cohen, along with Brolin, Gosling, Peña, Patrick, Mackie, plus Emma Stone, Nick Nolte, Giovanni Ribisi, Frank Grillo and Mireille Enos. Quite an awesome cast. The film shot late last year around Los Angeles, and Warner Bros will send the film to theaters on January 11th, 2013. You still excited?
i don't like the look of each persons image being laid over a separate picture. i'm not sure that's what was done - but it looks that way and i'm not wild about it.

Poor Mickey Cohen.

Im sorry but Robert Patrick deserves a headlined credit above Gosling and Stone. Hes been around what like 30 years now. No one knows him as anything but "O hey that guy from terminator 2 and 100 other side roles". Not to mention hes a pretty good actor and someone in the business who deserves it more than say some people who havent even been in the biz more than 10 years if that.

This has to be the worst fucking banners ever. Lame ass logo. As far as the promo's concerned, everyhting about this movie sucks so far. The marketing director for this flick should be publicly executed.
