Eli Roth Gets Adult Spy Kid Daryl Sabara & More for 'Green Inferno'
by Ben Pearson
October 25, 2012
Hostel filmmaker Eli Roth certainly made his mark as a director with his controversial torture porn series and his debut Cabin Fever, but aside from directing the film-within-a-film Nation's Pride from Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds and co-writing The Man With the Iron Fists alongside Wu-Tang frontman RZA, Roth hasn't seen much action behind the camera lately. But that's about to change with The Green Inferno, the director's return to horror that he's called "the scariest and most intense film [he's] made to date." Now his cast is getting all lined up, but they're mostly people you've never heard of before. Read on!
A press release says Lorenza Izzo (Aftershock), Ariel Levy (Aftershock), Aaron Burns, Daryl Sabara (John Carter, Machete), Kirby Bliss Blanton (Project X), Magda Apanowicz and actress/singer Sky Ferreria are all signed on to star here, and we still don't have a lot of details yet about what to expect from the story. Roth has gone on record saying the film was inspired by his time filming the disaster movie Aftershock in Chile (which he co-wrote, produced, and starred in), but aside from that, we're still in the dark on this one. And with these actors, many of whom we've never seen, it's tough to gauge just how this one will turn out. Principal photography starts in just a couple of weeks on November 5th. Stay tuned.

If they ever remade Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, he'd be the perfect Bill. http://tinyurl.com/3tbo24t

The Green Inferno might be a reference to cannibal holocaust and/ or Italian cannibal movies from the late 70's to the 80's - just a guess
