Elizabeth Banks Taking the 'Walk of Shame' for 'Little Nicky' Director

Actress, director and producer Elizabeth Banks is no stranger to the comedy world. She's starred in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Zack and Miri Make A Porno, Role Models, and produced Pitch Perfect (in which she also had a small role), plus she's directing and acting in a segment of the ensemble comedy Movie 43. But she's stepping up from supporting roles, as Variety reports Banks will lead a new comedy called Walk of Shame for director Steven Brill, whose credits include such films as Drillbit Taylor and Little Nicky, but also the terrific kid fat camp comedy Heavy Weights and writing The Mighty Ducks awhile back. Read on!
Banks will play an L.A. news anchor who loses an audition for her dream job. She soon gets a call from her agent saying that she actually ended up scoring the gig, but it may be too late; thinking she had lost the part, she went out for a hard night of partying, ending up in a stranger's bed with no money, no car, and no memory of the night's events. She has to pull herself together quickly and retrace her steps in time to be on the air by 5pm for that night's broadcast.
Banks made her mark this year as the strangely-clad Effie in The Hunger Games earlier this year, but for my money, her best performance came in the criminally underseen People Like Us, so I'm hoping Walk of Shame gets her even more attention and allows her to continue to show off her range as an actress. It's also interesting that she's working with Brill on this, considering he also directed a segment of Movie 43. Walk of Shame has a great concept and the potential to turn out great, and with Banks in the lead, we're interested.

She was also amazing in The Next Three Days. I'd definitely be up for more Banks. Bring it on!
