Emily Blunt Will Fight Alongside Tom Cruise in 'All You Need Is Kill'
Looks like Emily Blunt might slowly be taking on the mantle of sci-fi action movie queen. After starring opposite Matt Damon in the sci-fi tinged The Adjustment Bureau, the actress has Rian Johnson's time travel thriller Looper coming out in September and now Variety reports that she's been enlisted in an intergalactic army alongside Tom Cruise in Doug Liman's All You Need Is Kill. She'll play a fellow fighter in a war against an alien race, and the twist is Cruise's character relives the day of his death on the battlefield over and over again, Groundhog Day-style. As he improves, he must find a way to alter his own fate. Read on!
Blunt is obviously a fantastic actress, and even though she's been working in the industry for quite a few years now, she hasn't had too many opportunities for huge projects until recently. There's a genuine intimacy to many of her performances and I think she has a lot more raw talent than a lot of her contemporaries, so I'm stoked to see her take on a film of this magnitude. As for Cruise, this is the second high profile project he has worked on recently that's based on a graphic novel. The other film is Joseph Kosinski's Oblivion, which the filmmaker crafted as a comic before eventually setting up a film version at Universal. Both sound like they're keeping Cruise at the top of his game and Blunt can only help.
wow she is going to finally get recognition she deserves, getting to work with big moviestar..good for u Emily! all the best!

Yeah, because working with Matt Damon, Meryl Streep, Benecio Del Toro, and Anthony Hopkins was so degrading.

Love the idea behind this movie. Sounds vaguely like an episode of Supernatural from a few seasons back when Dean kept getting killed over and over again.
