White House Down

No official photos from the action thriller White House Down helmed by director Roland Emmerich (Independence Day) have surfaced, but that doesn't mean we don't get a look behind the scenes of the film starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx. The film follows a single father Secret Service agent (Tatum) tasked with protecting the president (Foxx) when bad guys initiate a hostile takeover of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. We get a slight taste of that action in a video from the set complete with a mind-numbing interview with Tatum (it's not his fault). At the very least, the sets are impressive, and there's plenty of action. Watch!

Here's our first look at Roland Emmerich's White House Down from ET (via The Film Stage):

White House Down is directed by iconic German filmmaker Roland Emmerich (of Stargate, Independence Day, Godzilla, The Patriot, The Day After Tomorrow, 2012, Anonymous) with a screenplay from James Vanderbilt (Zodiac, The Amazing Spider-Man). In the movie, a Secret Service agent (Channing Tatum) is tasked with saving the life of the U.S. President (Jamie Foxx) after the White House is overtaken by a paramilitary group. Maggie Gyllenhaal, James Woods and Richard Jenkins also co-star. Columbia Pictures is bringing White House Down to theaters starting on June 28th, 2013 next summer. Lookin' any good?

With the title of the movie, I honestly thought it was a comedy.

How much those movies made doesn't make him a star. When I can mention his name and people actually know who I'm talking about.. that's when he's made it...
