"Attitude wins football games!" Anchor Bay Films has debuted the first official trailer via Yahoo for another football drama titled Touchback, this one stars Kurt Russell as a high school football coach and Brian Presley as a kid who gets injured. The cast has Melanie Lynskey, Christine Lahti, Sarah Wright and Drew Powell. This inspirational sports film looks, unfortunately, like some made-for-TV shlock, even Kurt Russell can't save it. There are so many awful lines even he fumbles over, like that "the future is just a bunch of…" one. Give it a shot but don't expect much to like in this, I think it'd be better to go see Undefeated instead.
Watch the first official trailer for Don Handfield's Touchback, in high def from Yahoo:
A man looks back 15 years to the injury that ended his career as a promising high-school football player.
Touchback was written and directed by American actor, producer, director & filmmaker Don Handfield, an Ohio State University graduate making his feature directorial debut after a few shorts previously including My Name Is… and Driver's Ed. This was produced by Freedom Films and shot mostly around Ohio and Michigan back in 2010. Anchor Bay Films will be distributing this in the US and has set an April 13th limited release date this spring if anyone is interested. For more info, visit the Freedom Films' official site.

ha hah ah ha. Small town, check, Foozball, check, emo story, check. One mistake made in highschool having a deep impact on the rest of your life, cheeeeck. Is that guy Napoleon Dynamite's uncle who is trying to invent the time machine? Is Kurt Russell's face made of rubber? Too many questions.

There is nothing about this film that makes it a "typical football movie." This is an inspiring movie & I am sure it's one you do not want to miss. I think if you take the time to see the director's personal thoughts on this amazing movie at http://bit.ly/touchbackyoutubetestimony there is no way you will not be convinced to see it on the big screen. The story line is incredible & life changing - don't miss this one this year!
