Looper Preview Teaser

"What would you do if you had to hunt down and kill your future self?" And here we go again, ready for another week of trailer teases? Sony is the next to follow suit after Prometheus in offering up small slices of teaser teases via Apple for the next three days leading up to the big premiere of Rian Johnson's Looper official trailer. This featurette has star Joseph Gordon-Levitt chatting with Rian Johnson about the film and his character, and gives you just a very small glimpse at some of the footage we'll be seeing "in 3 days" in the actual trailer. Bruce Willis also stars in Looper, but stay tuned for more as there is plenty to come.

Watch the first tease for the first trailer for Rian Johnson's sci-fi Looper, in high def from Apple:

In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a "looper" – a hired gun, like Joe – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day they decide to "close the loop", sending back Joe's future self for assassination.

Looper is the third film from Rian Johnson following his breakout hit Brick and The Brothers Bloom after that. Looper focuses on a mobster named Joe from the future who sends his targets back in time, but one day discovers himself as the target, causing him to go on the run. The movie also stars Emily Blunt, Jeff Daniels, Paul Dano and more and hits theaters everywhere this year on September 28th, 2012. Excited?

A teaser for a "teaser-trailer" for a film. When did this become a thing? Although the film looks really cool!

Bokaii on Apr 9, 2012

Excited about this one, looking forward to checking out the trailer.

I'm really starting to get sick of these "teasers for the trailer."  Just post the trailer proper and let us enjoy it without any unnecessary hype.

Sean Kelly on Apr 9, 2012

what ever happened to the days of just releasing the trailer.  I really miss those days.

Michael Lee on Apr 9, 2012

me too - i'm not watching. i'll just wait for the trailer.

beevis on Apr 9, 2012

It's all part of the 'trending' or whatever it is. Get the maximum links, facebook babble and twitter chatter, don't forget to add it to the Instragram site too and Tumblr the crap out of it. I'm pretty cynical about web marketing as you can see.

Crapola on Apr 9, 2012

i definitely hear ya! i don't use facebook.....i  don't "tweet".......i don't text on my cell...........all of this nonsense is really out of control.

I use an Etch a Sketch myself.

ur_babys_daddy on Apr 9, 2012

Well it's one of the ways movies HAVE to market these days, to get people interested. At least all of these trailers for trailers seem to only be for good movies for now...

GregDinskisk on Apr 12, 2012

... I'm really excited for this film, but I'm not buying into this whole "teaser for the trailer' crap, so I'm avoiding all of those videos, no matter what. And you people should do the same, if studios realize their new "marketing strategy" is not getting the hits they expect they will cut the shit out... maybe... Anyway, I'll watch the full trailer when it's online, because I really wanna see what they're cooking...

Yahzee on Apr 9, 2012

OMG stop doing trailers for trailers ! xD

Nato on Apr 9, 2012

Just show us the fucking trailer, and stop this bullshit teaser for trailer shit.

Truong18 on Apr 9, 2012

Teases for teaser trailers is fucking bullshit. Stop putting this bullshit up and just post the teaser trailer when it lands. This crap is a waste of everyone's time. No matter how excited they are for the film

Rickvanr on Apr 9, 2012

Yo Dawgs, I heard u like watching trailers, so I made a trailer for the trailer, so you can watch a trailer before you watch the trailer!

Xzibit on Apr 9, 2012

What would happen if I was sent into the future to kill my future self? Spoiler alert: I wouldn't do it.

Quanah on Apr 9, 2012

Why not...its just your future will be like it never happened...unless it creates a loop like head hurts.

Xerxexx on Apr 9, 2012

Well, if my future self left my perfect wife, and then went on a killing spree, I would definitely kill myself if myself was not myself. Wait. What?

Quanah on Apr 10, 2012

So what you are saying...if yourself left your future self's wife then went on a killing spree you yourself would kill yourself, causing a paradox of you yourself killing yourself? Logical...I think...ouch my head hurts worse!

Xerxexx on Apr 10, 2012

"I have no idea what's going on."---Towelie

Quanah on Apr 11, 2012

Xerxexx on Apr 11, 2012

In three days, I'll be commenting on the teaser trailer. This is just a taste of what you can expect. Get pumped.

Tyler Hayes on Apr 10, 2012

I don't buy into this sort of marketing nonsense. I'll just wait for the trailer proper.
