First Trailer for Leather Headed Killer Horror Sequel 'The Collection'
Horror fans are already familiar with Leatherface, but now the lesser known leather headed serial killer from The Collector is back in our midst in The Collection, the sequel film from LD Entertainment. With a night club setting leading to an abandoned hotel used to capture and torture his victims in a twisted maze, a wealthy young woman finds herself stuck in this nightmare. But her wealthy father hires a team of mercenaries and one man (Josh Stewart from the first film) who has survived this killer's hotel of horror, to get her back. It looks like it's Saw meets any given hostage thriller, but there's some suspense. Watch below!
Here's the first trailer for Marcus Dunstan's The Collection originally from Yahoo:
When Elena's friends take her to a secret party at an undisclosed location, she never imagined she would become the latest victim of The Collector, a psychopathic killer who kidnaps and transports her to an abandoned hotel he's transformed into a maze of torture and death. Upon learning of his daughter's disappearance, Elena's wealthy father hires a group of mercenaries and Arkin (Josh Stewart), the only man to have escaped the wrath of this heinous monster, to lead them through the gruesome labyrinth. Marcus Dunstan, who co-wrote the film with Patrick Melton, returns to direct the sequel arriving November 30th.
Because tens of people were asking for it.

Wow. Out of all the movies that didn't have people begging for a sequel...... this gets one.

Huh? I loved the first movie but what is this supposed to be. It looks like Saw 10.

I liked the first one...it was a nice suprise of an intense, violent, horror movie. I wish people stop comparing it to Saw, it pretty much stands on its own.

It looks like the production value is there so I'll probably check it out. Definitely didn't look like it was cheap to make.

A jar people room? Looks like a hint of sci-fi, almost. Love the first one (and all the later Saw films, so take from that what you will) and this looks great. Now where is Laid to Rest 3?

I was one of the ten people asking. Loved the first one, and am looking forward to this one. But...it does kinda feel like a SAW movie, not that I really have a problem with that though.

Both films were great. The Collector definitely pulls you into the theme: a serial killer who sets elaborate traps and collects the one survivor. The Collection, part II, showcases the museum of mutalated people he's captured. Both had you on the edge of your seat and I'm up for a third. Two ways they could go - allow the killer to escape the box he landed in at the end of part 2 and return him to a setting more like the first film. Alternatively, force the Collector to assist the criminal captor become the next jigsaw copycat in Saw VIII. The dichotomy of killing for no cause vs. to cause an appreciation of life could be interesting. Either way, I'll be there.
