"It's everything that I was afraid of." Relativity Media has debuted the first trailer for the romantic drama adaptation of another Nicholas Sparks story called Safe Haven, set in North Carolina. An affirming and suspenseful story about a young woman's struggle to love again, Safe Haven is based on the novel from Nicholas Sparks, the best-selling author behind the hit films The Notebook and Dear John. The attractive cast is lead by Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel, with David Lyons and Cobie Smulders. By now everyone should know exactly what to expect with a Sparks' romance, so take a look only if you're interested.
Here's the first trailer for Lasse Hallström's adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' Safe Haven, from YouTube:
A young woman (Julianne Hough) with a mysterious past lands in Southport, North Carolina where her bond with a widowed store owner (Josh Duhamel) forces her to confront the dark secret that haunts her.
Safe Haven is directed by Swedish filmmaker Lasse Hallström, of award-winning films like What's Eating Gilbert Grape, The Cider House Rules, Chocolat, The Hoax, Dear John and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. The screenplay was written by Dana Stevens & Gage Lansky, based on the 2010 Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name. Relativity Media is releasing Safe Haven in theaters on February 8th, 2013 early next year.
