Full French Trailer for Cronenberg's 'Cosmopolis' Arrives Right on Time
"Show me something I don't know." This looks wild, Cronenberg back with more debauchery. AlloCine.fr (via The Film Stage) has posted the full-length official trailer for David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis, starring Robert Pattinson as a billionaire who takes his limo around the city for an entire day. Lots of crazy shit happens, and I mean some seriously crazy things, as you'll get a glimpse of in this. The trailer also confirms that Cosmopolis is premiering at the Cannes Film Festival next month, with an official selection tag. Jay Baruchel, Kevin Durand and Juliette Binoche make appearances in the trailer as well. See it below!
Watch the full-length French trailer for David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis, embedded from AlloCine.fr:
David Cronenberg (Scanners, Videodrome, A History of Violence, Eastern Promises) writes/directs this adaptation of Don DeLillo's novel following a wealthy asset manager (Robert Pattinson) who crosses the whole of Manhattan across 24 hours in a stretch limo just for a haircut. However, the guy can't get a break as he's repeatedly delayed by a presidential motorcade, anti-globalization demonstrations, and a celebrity funeral. But his biggest problem comes when he must deal with the repercussions of a risky bet against the yen on a bad day for the market that may cause him to lose all his money and his newlywed bride. Sarah Gadon, Kevin Durand, Jay Baruchel, Samantha Morton, Juliette Binoche, Paul Giamatti, and Mathieu Amalric also star. Expected release sometime in summer (maybe May), but no exact date set yet.

Never thought I'd say this about a Robert Pattinson film, but Im looking forward to watching this one. Probly helps that David Cronenberg directs.

Rob Pattinson looks great in this. Good to see Cronenberg back to his usual bad self. Can't wait to see it. Hope it does well in Cannes.

Yep, I'll sign up for this one. Another pretty actor being given a chance to show his chops by a credible filmmaker, good news all round.

How come it's fine to watch a video from France, but often hard to watch a video from the US? This looks like a Saturday night in Liverpool.

He just wants his damn haircut! Looks intersting, though.

I actually think that robert pattinson is a great choice for a cronenberg movie- his face has all these over-exaggerated features that could end up adding to the general spookiness to the movie, kinda like viggo mortensen's face did in History of Violence.

What an amazing trailer. And pants you basically said what I wanted to say about Pattison, he has a real Cronenberg-face. Perfect.
