Take This Waltz Trailer

"It's a kind of longing… a kind of idiotic, marvelous, ridiculous longing." Damn, does this look good. The Playlist has found the first trailer for actress-filmmaker Sarah Polley's new film Take This Waltz, which premiered at TIFF last year. The film stars Michelle Williams as a woman "struggling to choose between two different types of love", and it looks incredibly charming, exciting, but bittersweet and potentially quite sad, but I'm very interested in seeing it. In the film, her two lovers are played by Seth Rogen and Luke Kirby, and her friend is played by Sarah Silverman. Give this trailer a watch, it looks fantastic. Enjoy!

Watch the very first trailer for Sarah Polley's Take This Waltz, originally via YouTube:

A funny, heart-wrenching story about a woman struggling to choose between two different types of love.

Take This Waltz is both written and directed by talented Canadian actress & filmmaker Sarah Polley, who you've seen in films like Dawn of the Dead and Splice, but is also a director whose feature debut was Away from Her in 2006, after directing a number of short films. This first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year, and played all around Canada at the Edmonton, Vancouver and Calgary Film Festivals, too. Magnolia Pictures will be releasing Take This Waltz limited on June 29th later this summer.

yeah, i liked the style and approach of the voiceover first half and there was enough in the second half to keep me interested. and Williams certainly is that. having her in the central role more or less guarantees i'll try and catch this.

Pick the one who wants to help you become a better person, while you help them become a better person too. Duh!

This Movie was filmed in Toronto in the summer of 2010. One day while i was working at my restaurant i was on the rooftop Patio and Seth Rogen and Michelle Williams came by on a rickshaw with a film crew following them and as i realized it was Seth Rogen, in suprise said his name really loudly and he looked up towards the roof, probably ruining the shot. I then hit the street to catch them and yell things for their next few passings by, probably ruined a few shots. Serious filmsters on here might look down on me but it was funny. "Marijuana and Judaism for the win" i think i yelled something like that out one time. It got to the point that when they were coming up on the spot near my restaurant Seth was hiding his face laughing and looking away, probably embarrassed for me.

So pretensious.

No. This is pretentious. Ready? You spelled "pretensious" wrong. It's spelled "pretentious." Just joking really. But I think you're actually right. Trailer may be selling something the film isn't and trying to play to the "Garden State" audience.

I would like to know this also "what is the song playing at the end of this trailer?" & just for the record it is NOT Parachutes by Jenn Grant, although nice song, the Internet does't have the right answer yet?
