J.J. Abrams Shows 3 Frames of 'Star Trek Into Darkness' on Conan

"It's 3 frames, but—they're all there." Oh this is genius. And it's going to set the internet ablaze all because it's trick J.J. Abrams genius. So, J.J. Abrams was the guest on tonight's Conan O'Brien show, and to make the occasion something special, he decided to bring and debut the first ever clip from Star Trek Into Darkness, the Star Trek sequel hitting theaters next summer. But don't wet your pants just yet, it's the shortest clip you'll ever see. It's only 3 frames long. Not 3 seconds, 3 frames. Oh yea. The clip, and the entire funny Conan segment, is online for your viewing pleasure below. And yes, there is a freeze-frame available.
Here's the full Conan segment (via SlashFilm), where almost all of it is geeky setup for this short clip:
Okay, so the only other little tease he gives is in the "setup" for the clip. J.J. explains "this is a scene where Spock—who's one of the main characters—for reasons that you'll have to see the film to understand, he's in a volcano, in this crazy suit. And he's in this volcano, and this is the scene." Yep, that's exactly what it looks like - here's the freeze-frame ("you must examine it!"). So, first look at Zach Quinto as Spock in Star Trek Into Darkness? I guess we could say so. Pretty damn cool, but mostly just a fun little gimmick. Nonetheless, I'm still very anxious to see more from this whenever that will be. J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness, also starring Chris Pine as Kirk, is arriving in theaters next summer on May 17th. What do you make of it?

But I still think I got a glimpse of lens flare in those 3 frames.

Wow and I suddenly don't care about this movie anymore. If it's so bad Abrams doesn't even have a teaser trailer out why bother. The title is ridiculous also, was "Into Darkness" the best they could do? Star Trek Journey Into Darkness see I made the title better. But really there is no buzz or hype surrounding the sequel so what's there to care about.

/begin sarcasm The tone seems off and I'm not feeling the character dynamics like the first film. The acting really feels pushed too. /end sarcasm
