Jennifer Lawrence in the New 'House at the End of the Street' Trailer
The first trailer for the new horror film The House at the End of the Street didn't do much to impress horror fans, and honestly the new trailer doesn't really bring anything new to the table to change that. Jennifer Lawrence, with plenty more star power behind her name after the success of The Hunger Games, stars in the horror film about a girl (Lawrence) moves with her mom to a new town and learns that their home is next door to a house where a double murder took place. Of course, there's a mysterious neighbor boy, maybe the haunting spirit of the murderer next door and all that. Nothing special. Watch?
Here's the new trailer for Mark Tonderai's The House at the End of the Street in HD via Apple:
Mark Tonderai makes his big screen directorial debut with The House at the End of the Street, a new horror film written by David Loucka (Dream House). The film features Jennifer Lawrence as a teen girl (Lawrence) who moves with her mom to a new town and learns that their home is next door to a house where a double murder took place. Complications ensue when the teen befriends the massacre's sole surviving son (Max Thieriot). The film is slated to land in theaters later this fall on September 21st. Anyone interested?

Meh. Looks like a pretty standard cookie cutter horror movie. I don't expect any surprises. The only "twist" I could see coming, would be that the guy killed his own parents and is maybe even related to the spooky girl. Or something. OoooOOOoooOOOooo!
SuicidalOptimist on Jun 1, 2012
yeah, that sounds about right, about them being related. his parents died. she killed her own parents. that was what i was thinking during the whole trailer anyway.

I am betting the guy IS the girl a la psycho.

Well, shit. Looks like we all -have- to watch this now just to find out whose speculations were closest to the truth, dammit! 😉

I know someone who saw an early screening and though they refuse to give me a spoiler they promise it's no cookie cutter. I'll go see just to see if they were wrong, j law picks pretty decent roles so I'll give it a shot

Fun but Jenifer must don't forget an " R rated Drama " made her " STAR " either , I waiting see her in another brilliant " Winter's Bone "

Yes, she did well in that and it was an excellent drama. I think she gained fame very fast getting that oscar nomination, and that made her a marketable commodity, and now she's getting offers left and right and probably has it hard taking her time and choosing the right roles. I suppose it's hard to imagine how a project will turn out when all you've got are words on paper. I guess that's what they all have agents for. I imagine, though, that those agents are more interested in keeping their clients involved in projects that seem to have a good chance at commercial success. Then again she could be trying out a variety of genres to see where she works best or which she enjoys most.
