A Good Day to Die Hard

"What is this? A pirate gun?" A couple trailers for A Good Day to Die Hard promise a fun action flick with some entertaining father-son banter between Bruce Willis and Jai Courtney as they battle bad guys in Russia. Now the junior McClane gets the spotlight in a new featurette that has been revealed as part of a cross promotion between Dodge Ram trucks and the action sequel. Thankfully, the featurette doesn't even play like a commercial for the trucks, and you wouldn't even know it was from Dodge if it wasn't for the source page. Anyway, there's some cool new footage and talk with Jai Courtney about the big role. Watch it!

Here's the newest featurette for A Good Day to Die Hard from Dodge Ram (via ComingSoon):

A Good Day to Die Hard is the fifth installment in the long running Die Hard franchise following Bruce Willis as Detective John McClane. John Moore (Max Payne, Behind Enemy Lines) directs the sequel written by Skip Woods (The A-Team, X-Men Origins: Wolverine). This time McClane finds himself in Russia where nothing is as it seems and he must team up with his estranged son (Jai Courtney) in order to stay alive in Moscow and keep the world safe for democracy. Cole Hauser, Sebastian Koch, Yulia Snigir and more star. A Good Day to Die Hard hits theaters for an explosive Valentine's Day on February 14th. Planning to see it?

Just finished With a Vengeance...hopefully this one will be in the same vein as the original trilogy.

Oh right, like Renny Harlins masterpiece. Sorry buddy, but the second Die Hard is the worst.

BruceWillisRocks on Dec 2, 2012

I should have clarified...I have never seen Die Hard 2...only Die Hard and Die Hard: With a Vengeance.

ur not missin anythin with the 2nd one. Honestly its like it doesn't exist. I don't think they even mention it in the 3rd.

Christopher Philip Cinquegrano on Dec 2, 2012

Its not mentioned. Just the first one.

Die Hard 2 may be worse than Die Hard 1 and 3, but it's still a really good film. I've seen it more times than I can count and I'd definitely recommend it if you enjoy the series. I think it recreates the quiet ambiance of the first one using the snow storm and airport as contrast to the explosions and gunfire. I also like that it sticks with the Christmas theme.

Anything after the second one is the worst. Although I liked Die Harder quite a lot for many years, it's no longer one of my favorites.

How can you not like 3? , It had that whole world trade center theme happening , even b4 911, watchin it now it has even more impact for me. The action was also the best. Love the ghetto scene , u all know what i'm talkin about lol. Even my gf was glued to the tv after that part an thats a a first.

Vengeance was the 3rd one and it was a good one.

Sorry just dont like the Son thing. Why? Why can't it be Willis like in the first one. The dude looks nothing like his son. Dont know. Action sure will be good but im not feeling it...

buzzfunk on Dec 2, 2012

Like Son of the Mask. It's a tired trope.

castingcouch on Dec 2, 2012

Maybe its a passing of the torch but honestly they'd be passing it straight to DvD or Dvr .

I sense a Polonium-210 sandwich for poor John, doubt the Russians would be too happy with his shenanigans.

I don't mean to be negative but how many times can John Maclane have a bad day? Die Hard with a Vengeance was awesome an it shoulda ended there . JMO

Christopher Philip Cinquegrano on Dec 2, 2012

He'll keep having bad days until it stops making a profit. Sad but true. Can't wait til the retirement home caper.
