Kate Bosworth & Lake Bell on the Run in First Trailer for 'Black Rock'
Despite the title and the bumpers used within the trailer itself, the new thriller Black Rock is not some sort of "Lost" spin-off. However, the film from director Katie Aselton does feel like it's some sort of blend of Eden Lake and Last House on the Left as Kate Bosworth, Lake Bell and Aselton herself attempt to reconnect on a camping trip to a deserted island only to find it not-so-deserted. Though they get friendly with some men on the island hunting, it's anything but a good time. We missed this at Sundance, but it doesn't look like that will be a regret as this seems generic, even with script help from Mark Duplass. Watch!
Here's the first trailer for Katie Aselton's Black Rock, originally from Yahoo:
In Black Rock, three childhood friends set aside their personal issues and reunite for a girls’ weekend on a remote island off the coast of Maine. One wrong move turns their weekend getaway into a deadly fight for survival. Katie Aselton (writer of The Freebie and star of "The League") directs from a script she wrote with Mark Duplass (Jeff Who Lives at Home, Cyrus) and she also stars in the film with Lake Bell and Kate Bosworth. The film premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and arrives in theaters on May 17, 2013.

what's crazy is this is SO bad.....and - on the same day the trailer for the horrible "freeloaders" also comes out. i really couldn't decide which is worse.

Mark duplass wrote it. Hence the only reason aselton is directing. Kate bosworth really knows how to kill a career doing this shit and straw dogs back to back.

This is WAY to similar ot the Norway tragedy at Utøya. Even the Island looks similar. Might jsut be an coincidence, but I still find it distastefull. Add that it looks shit, and we have a loser.

Not really, wasn't that a white supremacist who tried to show how supreme white people were by shooting them all?

If your head is in a box of poison spiders and you have 1 second to tell the story.. yes, Thats a way to put it, but again : No. I was talking about the production design/colors, hiding places etc. Not mainly the plot.

There was loads of people on the Island in Norway, it had buildings on it too. It's nothing like this film, also I don't think the people on the island tried to kill that ballsack either.
