Currently "The Flight of the Conchords" star has her recognizable voice behind a character as a series regular on "Bob's Burgers," but Kristen Schaal has also been heard in Toy Story 3, and even seen on "3o Rock" and The Muppets last year. Now the comedienne will lend her voice to another animated feature film as Heat Vision has word that Schaal has joined the voice cast of Cloudy 2: Revenge of the Leftovers, the sequel to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. However, we already know the film sequel is not based on the sequel book, titled Pickles in Pittsburgh, and uses an original story. So what's happening in the sequel?
Following the events of the first film Flint Lockwood (Bill Hader) and his friends were forced to leave Swallow Falls. But when it's discovered that sentient food beasts have overrun the island, they must return home to save the world. Anna Faris and Andy Samberg are expected to reprise their roles as well, and apparently Schaal is playing a character described as an orangutan, though it's probably some kind of food primate. Honestly, I'm not too keen on this plot, but knowing how great the first film turned out by venturing away from the book, not to mention a rewrite from Horrible Bosses writers Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, I have faith for now.

As a fanatic of the original source material for 'Cloudy' from child to adulthood, I was SHOCKED at how much I genuinely enjoyed the movie version of it. Truly witty, relentlessly hysterical, well animated and heartfelt. I will give them my faith for the sequel but won't set my hopes too high.

If any of you live in Brooklyn/NYC, her and Kurt Broenholer do a $5 comedy show with Eugene Mirman at Littlefield: Hot Tub. Easily the best 5 bucks anyone can spend and she's ALWAYS hilarious.

Love this chick! Still haven't seen the first one, although I loved the book when I was a kid. I hear there's some sweet Mr. T action in it that I need to see. Anyway, I'm glad she's got a good career, as she is one of the funniest women out there. Louise on Bob's Burgers is the shit!
