Kyle Chandler To Hunt Leonardo DiCaprio in 'The Wolf of Wall Street'

After a breakout performance in J.J. Abrams' Super 8 last year, it seems Kyle Chandler is on the edge of true stardom (on the big screen). He's gearing up for a big project this year with Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty (formerly Kill Bin Laden), and Deadline reports that the actor has now secured a role opposite Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill in Martin Scorsese's newest movie, The Wolf of Wall Street. He'll play FBI Agent Coleman, the man who tracks and eventually catches Jordan Belfort, an up-and-coming Wall Street stockbroker who gets wildly successful and subsequently gets caught up in drugs, excess, and greed.
Chandler is an excellent addition to this cast, and it's great to see such a crowd-pleasing actor (from his iconic role in "Friday Night Lights," especially) get a shot at working with titans of the industry like Marty and Leo. It's also ironic to note that DiCaprio will be this time be playing "the hunted," so to speak, since he most recently starred as "the hunter" in Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar. I'm looking forward to seeing how DiCaprio makes that change as an actor and differentiates this part from similar ones he's played in the past, and I can't wait to see Chandler hot on his heels trying to shut him down when The Wolf of Wall Street eventually hits theaters. The Super 8 star will next be seen on the big screen in Ben Affleck's new thriller Argo (watch the first trailer here), which arrives in theaters on September 14th, 2012. Interested?
