Liam Hemsworth Has Signed on to Star in Philip Noyce's 'Timeless'
It's been over a year since we last heard anything about director Philip Noyce tackling the time travel love story Timeless, but now the film is finally setting up a cast. Moviehole has word that Liam Hemsworth, who will be seen in The Hunger Games in March and The Expendables 2 (which will be rated PG-13) later in the year, has now signed on to star in the film. The film follows a recently married man who inherits a fortune from his late wife. Plagued by an unresolved issue between he and his wife, he uses the money to build a time travel device to see her one last time, and clear the air between them once and for all. Read on!
This has the potential to be quite a beautiful love story, but with the casting Hemsworth, whose last romantic venture was in The Last Song, I can't be too sure. However, I'm quite the fan of love stories entwined with a sci-fi concept like this including The Lake House and The Time Traveler's Wife. It's at least a change of pace from the stereotypical romantic comedy or love story that usually hits theaters. The script comes from writer Bill Kelly who impressed me with a charming, witty and quite hilarious script for Disney's live-action, somewhat self-depracating comedy Enchanted. Relativity Media, who has a take on the Snow White fairytale of their own, is behind theflick with Salt producer Sunil Perkash involved as well.
