Listen to Adele's Phenomenal, Sultry Theme Song for 'Skyfall' Now
James Bond title songs are iconic. Normally we don't feature songs crafted just for feature films unless there's some sort of great music video to go along with them, but in the case of a new theme song for Agent 007's return to the big screen in Skyfall, we'll make an exception. Earlier today the full version was played by a French radio station a bit early, but we've waited until now for the official release of the title track from the anticipated 23rd installment in the iconic franchise. It's an absolutely gorgeous theme song and is pure, classic James Bond. This kicks off Global James Bond Day (at least across the pond), so have a nice martini (shaken, not stirred) and stay tuned for more James Bond action tomorrow! Hear the song below!
Here's the title song from Sam Mendes' Skyfall by Adele, via her official website:
Skyfall is being directed by Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition, Jarhead, Revolutionary Road, Away We Go), from a script by John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. Skyfall will once again star Daniel Craig as James Bond 007, along with Javier Bardem, Dame Judi Dench as M, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Naomie Harris, Bérénice Marlohe, Helen McCrory, Ola Rapace with Ben Whishaw. You can also follow the official twitter @007 for updates as well, they've been tweeting photos and more. Columbia Pictures, Eon Productions and MGM have Skyfall set to hit US theaters on November 9th this fall. We'll continue to keep you updated on all things Bond. Check out my on set experience in Istanbul. Good stuff?
Perfect song for this film

Wow, breathless. Reminiscent of the title song for the Bond film "Diamonds Are Forever". And THAT is a good thing!

I never would have thought to place her for it, but very impressive homage to the bond franchise from a current big name. Really seems to fit the ominous feeling we get from the trailers, can't wait to see this one!

I don't have much time for any of today's female singers mainly because they are more about cookie cutter image and spectacle than singing talent ... Then along comes Adele with a voice on par with the likes of Billie Holiday, Etta James and Aretha. Now she give us one of the best Bond themes and makes it sound so easy. Pure perfection!

...Fuck me she did it. Hauntingly beautiful bond theme, perfection.

Very reminiscent of Shirley Bassey's Bond songs. Great stuff.

I really like it. Very different from the previous Daniel Craig Bond themes.
Nielsen700 on Oct 4, 2012
this is good enough to be the theme of a sean connery or roger moore bond movie.

I've never even listened to her music before. I didn't care. But I have to disagree, this theme is outstanding.

I made this mix Bond 2 Opening + Snake Eater sung by Cinthya Harrel Nothing to difficult or artistical, just a mux. But how good would it be to have an opening with that fenomenal song!! Or better would be with Bond 1 op + Snake Eater Bond Eater http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kPbzXPK3FE&list=UUsnYS9b7dv_DyukVUsj2PMw&index=2&feature=plcp would you propose it to the director? Let me know what you think about it! sorry for my imperfect english

I always thought that theme sounded a lot like a bond theme. It must have been inspired by 007 movies.

Love the opening, but pretty soon it sounds like most of the other bond themes - not necessarily a bad thing. Really did not like the chorus, but what are you going to do with a title like "Skyfall". Basically it is okay. For reference I am partial to "Nobody Does It Better" and "The Living Daylights" (and several others).

Was there any doubt? She smashed it.

This is a million times better than Alicia Keys' wailing in "Another Way to Die", although I liked the overall sound of that song. It sounds a little like Coldplay, in some parts, too. It's hard to match Chris Cornell's "You Know My Name" but this is pretty satisfying for a modern bond theme.
