Michael Emerson

Though it's been years since we've seen Michael Emerson as the creepy and mysterious Ben Linus on "Lost," the actor is still making waves on TV in "Person of Interest" on CBS, which might be one of the better shows you're not watching right now. However, whilst on hiatus from the crime thriller series, Emerson will make a return to high profile films for the first time since The Legend of Zorro in 2005. Deadline has word that Emerson has snagged an unknown role in the next film from Woody Allen, which is currently untitled and, as with all of the New York filmmaker's projects, has the script and plot kept tightly under wraps.

As of now, the only details we have include the involvement of Cate Blanchett, Bradley Cooper, Alec Baldwin (who will be seen in Allen's To Rome with Love later this year), and the film will be shooting in San Francisco. Previously, Happy-Go-Lucky star Sally Hawkins was listed on the film's IMDB, but we're still not sure if that's true. However, Deadline has added Bobby Cannavale, who turned in a hilarious performance in Win Win, one of my favorite films from 2011, to the cast list, and that's some great news. Hopefully more details will emerge soon, so we know exactly what we're dealing with. Of course, all we really need to know is that it's a new film from Woody Allen for our interest to be piqued.

Sometimes ( really only sometimes ) I prefer some dutiful directors like mr. Dear Woody Allen to some brilliant director like James Cameron! Life is very short and honestly I can't really every 10 years until one movie come out! Yes i know progress of technolegy ascending take time, Cameron made big work either too but I'm young and I can't see my future and maybe don't have enough life to see " Avatar 2 or 3 " ! I dont have any workable suggestion for that but i think some genius mastermind must work on that tech and directors like cameron get back to their chairs. (mabye im wrong) Although I love my dear Cameron but basically Wana say for me Woody Allen is respected , dutiful director and I see every movie of him even if had many failures. Mr.Cameron please get back sooner

Michael Emerson pretty much earned himself a spot on the top 10 or top 20 villians of ALL TIME with his role on Lost!!!

In my list too!!! He actually almost made top 10 (or so) HEROES ever too. Maybe top 10 characters in general.

Ben was such a scary man. But he's played some pretty funny characters too in the past.

He was awesome in Lost.  It looks like nothing can stop Woody Allen, he just keeps them coming and coming. Respect.

He's not as creepy as the guy from Lost who's currently dating a drugged out teenage imbecile.
