Must Watch: First Thrilling Trailer for Steven Soderbergh's 'Side Effects'
by Ethan Anderton
November 2, 2012
"Destroy them, before it destroys you." The first trailer for Side Effects is here, and it definitely feels like a Steven Soderbergh movie. Take a bit of Contagion and shake it up with Traffic, and that's basically what we get from this new drama featuring an all-star cast that includes Rooney Mara (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Soderbergh's Magic Mike star Channing Tatum. It looks like quite a provocative thriller that has both a message about the pharmaceutical industry and a compelling and thrilling story, certainly more grounded than Limiteless. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Jude Law also star. Watch below!
Here's the first trailer for Steven Soderbergh's Side Effects originally from Yahoo:
Steven Soderbergh (Contagion, Magic Mike) directs Side Effects from a script by Scott Z. Burns (Contagion, The Informant! and The Bourne Ultimatum) A woman (Rooney Mara) turns to prescription medication as a way of handling her anxiety concerning her husband's (Channing Tatum) upcoming release from prison. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Jude Law also star in the film that arrives in theaters on February 8th, 2013.

Sure. Right after he clears out the 47 other projects he's got in development.... at this pace, it'll probably in 2016 or so.

Nope, Soderbergh has no movies in development. He finished shooting his last movie before retirement -- Behind the Candelabra -- about a month ago.

Yes thank god craetive people are retiring or being ignored by the industry and hacks like Lindelof are on the rise.

Lindelof is the best writer since the guy who made up the bible! Actually I reckon Lindelof borrowed quite heavily from him, hehehe. Lindelof, what a douche that man is, I think he writes whilst playing video games or something, leaving plotholes the size of universes.

Or consider an even worse scenario; Lindelhof actually thinks it's good what he writes.

I think he does Neal, he talks like a smug genius, in any interview I ever watched with him, he's always got the 'I'm a genius' face on.
