The Campaign Trailer

"I refuse to lose, and I will win!" Warner Bros has debuted the hilarious trailer for Jay Roach's upcoming comedy The Campaign, parodying American politics as we experience American politics in this election year, and damn does it look funny. Will Ferrell stars as Cam Brady, up against Zach Galifianakis as Marty Huggins, in a congressional showdown to win the election in their North Carolina district. The cast includes Jason Sudeikis, Sarah Baker and Dylan McDermott. It looks like the kind of good ole vulgar, crazy, ridiculous comedy I love from Will Ferrell, I'm glad to see it back, and I'm excited to see this. Enjoy!

Watch the first official trailer for Jay Roach's The Campaign, in high def from Apple:

Jay Roach who has moved from comedies like Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and Meet the Parents to HBO's political dramas like Recount and Game Change is combining his experience for The Campaign, written by Chris Henchy (The Other Guys) and Shawn Harwell ("Eastbound & Down"). The film has Will Ferrell and Zack Galifianakis as congressional rivals from the South and also features a fantastic cast including Dan Ayrkroyd, Jason Sudeikis, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Dylan McDermott and more. The film is expected to hit theaters just a couple months before the presidential election on August 10th, 2012.

Is the character (Huggins) supposed to be straight?

Zach has done skits before where he has shaved his beard and says hes his brother Seth. Huggins looks like the same character with the lisp and how he carries himself. I think he's suppose to be straight but who knows.

Hope they add a scene about the recently passed bill on gay marriage in North Carolina, that would be hilarious.
