The End of Love

At Sundance this year, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World star Mark Webber not only had roles in For a Good Time Call… and Save the Date (getting a release soon), but he also directed and starred in the charming drama The End of Love. Featuring his real-life two-year old son Isaac, the film had a lot of improvisation as the young actor didn't have any lines that weren't spontaneous and his presence makes the film feel truly genuine as Webber plays a skewed version of himself, struggling as an actor. Now the trailer has arrived for the film which also features Michael Cera, Amanda Seyfried and Jason Ritter as themselves and Shannyn Sossamon as Webber's love interest in this beautiful indie that deserves to be seen. Watch it!

Here's the first promo/sales trailer for Mark Webber's The End of Love, found via The Film Stage:

UPDATE: Mark Webber contacted us to mention that the above trailer is from putting the film on the market at Cannes. An official trailer along with distribution and release date information is coming soon!

When the mother of his two-year-old son suddenly passes away, struggling actor Mark (Mark Webber) is forced to confront his shortcomings. With his fate and his son’s now intertwined, he grapples with his ability to grow up – stuck between the life he once knew and the one waiting for him. Mark Webber also directs and writes the film which premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. Check out our video blog praising the film and our interview with Webber. The End of Love hits limited theaters on January 21st, 2013. Good?

I'm really looking forward to this. It looks like the kind of movie you just have to go with like Martha Marcy May Marlene, Another Earth, Half Nelson and Sound of My Voice. No complaints for any of those form me though so bring it on!
