Must Watch: New Action-Packed US Trailer for Rian Johnson's 'Looper'

"Why don't you just do what old men do, and die." We got a glimpse at the new UK trailer for Rian Johnson's sci-fi film Looper yesterday, and today we get a bit of a remix of that trailer with an all new US take on presenting the story. There's some great new stuff with Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and I have to say, it's nothing short of impressive. In fact, Gordon-Levitt seems to be doing an amazing job of becoming a young Bruce Willis without doing a cheesy impression of him. Plus, there's plenty of great sci-fi action, and it looks like Emily Blunt has some sort of mind powers or something? Watch it below!

In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a "looper" – a hired gun, like Joe – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day they decide to "close the loop", sending back Joe's future self for assassination.
Looper is the third film from Rian Johnson following his breakout hit Brick and The Brothers Bloom after that. Looper focuses on a mobster named Joe, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The movie also stars Piper Perabo, Jeff Daniels and Paul Dano. Looper hits theaters everywhere starting on September 28th this fall.

It's one of those trailers where you say to yourself: this could be really awesome and entertaining, or suck a lot. I hope the former because it's an interesting concept.

ok so JGL has had make up to make him look like willis??? and if so why?? cant we just suspend our belief??? i mean its about time travel right??? or has he had work done??? im confused please help

It was JGL's choice!!! He wanted to make the character a more authentic earlier version of Bruce Willis!!! That's also why his voice is different!!! To be honest I was confused at first too, because from what I've seen he doesn't look that much like Willis. But apparently he's adopted some of his mannerisms as well, so we'll see come September.

Okay, so what's with all the goddamn dubstep. Does every trailer for an action movie have to feature this crap now? It's fucking garbage! That said, everything else in the trailer was pretty cool. I'm looking forward to this one.

I actually like a little bit of dubstep but not in the trailers but I have to syncing with the actions and sounds of the trailer worked well in this.
