A few release date updates to highlight. First up, Summit Ent. has pushed the original March 2013 release of Gavin Hood's Ender's Game adaptation to November (via The Wrap). The sci-fi adaptation, starring Asa Butterfield and Harrison Ford, is now set to open November 1st, 2013. One of the big changes that has affected scheduling is Summit being bought by Lionsgate. In other updates, Disney has now officially scheduled their Maleficent movie, about the Sleeping Beauty evil fairy's origin story starring Angelina Jolie, for March 14th, 2014. Plus, Paramount has shifted the release of The Dictator by just a few days.
Disney has set a U.S. release date of March 14th, 2014, for Maleficent, starring Angelina Jolie as Disney's ultimate villain from Sleeping Beauty. Academy Award-winning production designer Robert Stromberg (of Avatar, Alice in Wonderland and Oz: The Great and Powerful) will direct with a script by Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, and Alice in Wonderland). And finally, the other release update date comes from Paramount (via Deadline), which is quickly rescheduling Sacha Baron Cohen's The Dictator (watch the trailer) back five days this summer, from May 11th to Wednesday, May 16th, to give it breathing room from Dark Shadows—still set for the 11th—and to open just before Battleship does.

Since the upcoming movie called Maleficent now has a March 14th 2014 release date, i wonder if that means that Pirates of the Caribbean 5's full 2014 release date will be revealed soon. I would assume that Pirates of the Caribbean 5 would be released to theaters sometime in May 2014.
