Briefly: It's been confirmed with a listing on Warner Bros' exhibitor website (found via Nolan Fans) that a third, and presumably final, trailer for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises will be attached to The Avengers in all formats starting on May 4th. This is similar to The Dark Knight, as the final trailer for that was attached to Iron Man back in 2008. We expect it to arrive online sometime that same weekend, if not sooner, but no other details are known, including if this trailer will be on the international Avengers releases starting April 25th. We will certainly keep you updated. The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale as Batman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Michael Caine. The Legend Ends.
The Dark Knight Rises is once again directed by Oscar nominated British filmmaker Christopher Nolan, of Following, Memento, Insomnia, Batman Begins, The Prestige, The Dark Knight and Inception previously. The script was co-written by Christopher & Jonathan Nolan (The Prestige, The Dark Knight), from a story by Chris Nolan & David S. Goyer (of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight). Warner Bros is bringing The Dark Knight Rises to regular and IMAX theaters everywhere on July 20th, 2012 this summer. The Fire Rises…
I imagine they might be bringing the trailer to ShowWest or whatever they call it now.

I'll let you know when I see it next Thursday lol

Its not playing with The Avengers until it is released in America on May 4th. There is no TDKR trailer listed for the May 27 release.

I become very happy, dc trailer for prologe of marvel, astonishing I also think In nolan work dialogue is more than action and this is not balance then I think in 2012and2013 we will see: Man of steel>Dark Knight Rises>Avengers Yes I'm waiting for general zad more than Bain

Lol ... again Warners is using Marvel Studios as nothing more than a marketing tool. Brilliant move.
John on Apr 21, 2012
Now I'm looking forward to the coming attractions more so than the actual Avengers film!
XdeadontheinsideX on Apr 21, 2012
i don't know about that
Conrad Williams on Apr 21, 2012
you don't know how some one else is feeling after they expressed it? that's odd.
DaftBot on Apr 21, 2012
Ok so now I actually have a reason to see The Avengers >_>
DaftBot on Apr 21, 2012
Now that some people's serious predictions have Avengers grossing more than Dark Knight Rises (based solely on extremely early buzz) I think it would be wise for Warner Bros to release this trailer sometime at the end of May or beginning of June. Let Avengers fever die down a bit before trying to start switching excitement over to Batman. Obviously DKR is going to make boat loads of cash, but if you try to really get momentum going during the height of a different toned superhero extravaganza, it may actually be harmful. Im rooting for both to do as well as possible, for the record.

The Avengers is barely tracking ahead of The Dark Knight Rises and this is before Warner Bros has even really started the marketing machine. This is the time to start it. After May 4th weekend The Avengers' hype train will have mostly run its course and The Dark Knight Rises' will begin.
John on Apr 21, 2012
But the point is, it is tracking ahead. Trying to position your movie as the must see of the season in the midst of everyone flocking to what they believe is the must see film of the season isn't as good as starting that phase a few weeks after The Avengers is released. If you're trying to stir up excitement while people are already excited for another film, it just won't have the same affect as waiting quietly and then saying "Oh, you thought that was the big one, just wait until you see what we've got!" Obviously we're talking a very minuscule difference, but every little bit counts.

Bats would own the all.
Xerxexx on Apr 21, 2012
the poster looks more like they are trying to pose so they can join him....they are not worthy.....
Jericho on Apr 21, 2012
Bats is strictly solo.
Xerxexx on Apr 21, 2012
Yeah. Let's just forget the Justice League.
Simply G on Apr 22, 2012
Even in the League, he is still solo...they just tag along.
Xerxexx on Apr 22, 2012
I'd love to go on and on about how the whole avengers team could kick bats ass and how each of them individually could kick his ass just the same, but i can see by your previous comments that you will have no true factual comebacks to support your reasons, so I'm not gonna waste my time. Will at least say this: thor = immortal (a god). bats = mortal (a human).
JBrotsis on Apr 23, 2012
@128697767c92b5601828856f168adff8:disqus Bats always finds away. Always. But seeing as you take it way to seriously, I won't bother. Good day to you sir.
Xerxexx on Apr 24, 2012
Dammit I've been avoiding dkr trailers so far. Obviously tv spots next to impossible but thought I could avoid the full length stuff >:(

Nice! If anyone has been keeping up with that cashier contest for 'The Dark Knight Rises' you should definitely check this design out. It's amazing! Totally an image that gets one excited for the film! http://www.designbyhumans.com/vote/detail/204397

The way that pics looks, something tells me Batman would figure out a way to beat each one of them individually.
