Briefly: It's been confirmed with a listing on Warner Bros' exhibitor website (found via Nolan Fans) that a third, and presumably final, trailer for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises will be attached to The Avengers in all formats starting on May 4th. This is similar to The Dark Knight, as the final trailer for that was attached to Iron Man back in 2008. We expect it to arrive online sometime that same weekend, if not sooner, but no other details are known, including if this trailer will be on the international Avengers releases starting April 25th. We will certainly keep you updated. The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale as Batman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Michael Caine. The Legend Ends.
The Dark Knight Rises is once again directed by Oscar nominated British filmmaker Christopher Nolan, of Following, Memento, Insomnia, Batman Begins, The Prestige, The Dark Knight and Inception previously. The script was co-written by Christopher & Jonathan Nolan (The Prestige, The Dark Knight), from a story by Chris Nolan & David S. Goyer (of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight). Warner Bros is bringing The Dark Knight Rises to regular and IMAX theaters everywhere on July 20th, 2012 this summer. The Fire Rises…

Lol ... again Warners is using Marvel Studios as nothing more than a marketing tool. Brilliant move.

Now that some people's serious predictions have Avengers grossing more than Dark Knight Rises (based solely on extremely early buzz) I think it would be wise for Warner Bros to release this trailer sometime at the end of May or beginning of June. Let Avengers fever die down a bit before trying to start switching excitement over to Batman. Obviously DKR is going to make boat loads of cash, but if you try to really get momentum going during the height of a different toned superhero extravaganza, it may actually be harmful. Im rooting for both to do as well as possible, for the record.

The Avengers is barely tracking ahead of The Dark Knight Rises and this is before Warner Bros has even really started the marketing machine. This is the time to start it. After May 4th weekend The Avengers' hype train will have mostly run its course and The Dark Knight Rises' will begin.

But the point is, it is tracking ahead. Trying to position your movie as the must see of the season in the midst of everyone flocking to what they believe is the must see film of the season isn't as good as starting that phase a few weeks after The Avengers is released. If you're trying to stir up excitement while people are already excited for another film, it just won't have the same affect as waiting quietly and then saying "Oh, you thought that was the big one, just wait until you see what we've got!" Obviously we're talking a very minuscule difference, but every little bit counts.

Even in the League, he is still solo...they just tag along.

I'd love to go on and on about how the whole avengers team could kick bats ass and how each of them individually could kick his ass just the same, but i can see by your previous comments that you will have no true factual comebacks to support your reasons, so I'm not gonna waste my time. Will at least say this: thor = immortal (a god). bats = mortal (a human).
